Hi
This sounds fab but what exactly does one wear to a Masquerade Ball apart from the mask, is it evening wear?

Commented we love it here in Quesada 2011-05-20 18:15:56 UTC

Yes masks are a must, and we are hoping that everyone will dress to impress in their ball gowns, evening dresses and suits or tuxedos for the men.
Masks are available from €5 @ Black Rabbit in Cabo Roig and we are looking for shops that can provide dresses and tux´s.

gluten free

does anyone know where i can buy gluten free bread.

La Marina

Yes you can buy bread from the Health Shop in La Marina Village or Mercadona. It is not as good as the gluton free bread that you can buy in English Supermarkets but its a good alternative. Vera Burton

PROPERTY MARKET

We are looking to buy a home in Spain and have been looking to the Costa Blanca area, as we have been told we will get good value for money there, can anyone advise as to what the market is like in this area as we feel that we would like to live in this area, and not to the north.

Fuengirola

I have lived in Spain for 10 years - both the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca. What do you mean "the north". Whereabouts are you thinking of as this is a huge area. Inland, by the Med, town, city, village etc?

Here to help

Thanks for getting back to me.

We have been looking around the Torrevieja area its nice but not quite what we had in mind for Spain. We are looking for more of a mix between the Spanish in all the expats, but not having a grease spoon on every corner if that makes sense, which is what this area has. We want more the Spanish way of life but still know that our country men are near by but not living in every house next to ours.

One of us has leart Spanish to a good level, we have our heart set on a 3 bed with pool and have good funds to buy it, its just that we may have been looing in the wrong area.

Thanks for any help you can give

So what is on offer here is our own web pages that we can create and design about any topic we want (within reason)

This sounds like a great idea and is going to be used a lot, can you let me know what sort of subjects people have already asked for.

Never lie to your Momma!!

Mrs. Ravioli comes to visit her son, Anthony, for dinner. He lives with a female roommate, Maria. During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how pretty Anthony's roommate is. Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between Anthony and his roommate than met the eye.

Reading his mom's thoughts, Anthony volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Maria and I are just roommates.''

About a week later, Maria came to Anthony saying, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver sugar bowl. You don't suppose she took it, do you?"

"Well, I doubt it, but I'll email her, just to be sure.." So he sat down and wrote an email:

Dear Mama,

I'm not saying that you "did" take the sugar bowl from my house ; I'm not saying that you "did not" take it. But the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner.

Love, Anthony

Several days later, Anthony received a response email from his Mama which read:

Dear Anthony,

I'm not saying that you "do" sleep with Maria, and I'm not saying that you "do not" sleep with her. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she would have found the sugar bowl by now.

Love, Mama

Moral of this story - Never lie to your momma!!
