IBERSWITCH or weve taken your money and DONTSWITCH

Now then should be start talking about something other than the disappearance of the animal van - the invisible train - and the council.. How about the bad service we all seem to be getting from Iberswitch - anyone got any comments ?

La Marina

Souxie,
I signed an agreement with Iberswitch in April, paid my administration fee and that was the last I saw of these people, the service or my money.

We have just changed over to Iberswitch. We signed up in December last year. Unfortunately Iberdrola are dragging their heels. We had our last bill off them in April and are now awaiting our first 2 monthly bill from Iberswitch. Just be patient and it will happen, but Iberswitch have no control over the change over. I will do a posting when I get my first bill.

Cruises from Alicante

I am sure I read earlier on in the year that they were going to be commencing cruises from Alicante Port this September, but I have been reading all the free papers over the past few weeks and cannot seem to find the information, has anyone else heard or got any info please.

Nobody heard of cruises commencing from Alicante port then?????

Linda,
As far as I know cruise boats often arrive in Alicante when you can embark or dissembark.
I know that there is a regular service to Ibiza, Minorca and mallorca for both passengers and vehicles.
Surely the travel agent next to Cam Bank can assist you with all relevant information?

Thank you Angelic, I will pop in and ask them

GOOGLE STREET MAP

We were out in Quesada last week and while I was hanging around in the Gama car park (I know, I know - sounds dodgy) waiting for the Mrs, I was passed by the Google Street View car that was recording the film.

Any techie people on here have any idea how long it takes Google to update their site? I would love to be able to see street view while back in the UK.

Quesada

You can actually see roughly the areas they're covering at the moment online (Google "Where is Street View").

It can take up to a year to process the images due to legal fuss involving face-blurring etc. Well-spotted though!

Quesada, most of it anyway is now 'live' on line

Habaneras Shopping Centre, Torrevieja

If you fancy a bit of retail therapy, then the Habaneras Shopping Centre in Torrevieja may be right for you, especially if you are looking for a bit of fashion as they do in Spain. Habaneras Shopping Centre is only 3 minutes from our apartments and around 5 minutes drive. There is plenty of parking available whenyou arrive.

There are 3 floors of modern shops, with cafes and a miniture fairground area on the top floor. The rear of Habaneras also takes you to Torrevieja's large Carrefore superstore.

Just across the road is the Hananeras entertainment center and more places to eat, including a KFC. This area includes

* 10 Pin Bowling
* Casino
* Crazy Golf
* Trampolines
* Cinema. (Spanish)

Please copy and paste the link below into your browser for even more information on Habaneras Shopping Centre.

Spanish Life

I love the Spanish Life websites however find that the forum is becoming more like an advertising board than somewhere for us to discuss issues and have questions. When questions are asked they seem to get lost in the advertising. Surely advertisers should use the other pages (Services) rather than the forum constantly.

I agree! Its no longer a forum where people help each other, its just now an advert board! Shame x

Glad that we were able to be of help to you

Commented Carol in La Marina 2011-06-07 20:34:45 UTC

Gregory,
After a long drawn out battle over my monthly charges Iberdrola told me that the law dictated that I should have an ICP installed. They gave me two alternatives.
One- get an electrician to supply and fit an ICP after which Iberdrola take approx. 13 Euros to commission the ICP and seal it.
Two- Iberdrola supply, fit, commission and seal for a one charge of 13 euros and a monthly rental for the ICP of 12 cents.
My electrician friends told me that if they did the job I would need to live until I was "215" years old to get my money back!
Best idea is to ring Iberdrola and ask them to deal with this matter for you.
